From a young age, death has gently asked me to acknowledge its existence. The catastrophic experience of losing my father quickly and devastatingly to glioblastoma was its most dramatic demand. Accepting death as a part of our cyclical nature has made me curious about the ways in which we can, and should, hold this space as sacred. Each death is different; unique and individualized to each life lived. As an End of Life doula, it is my hope and my privilege to be a grounding presence and a gentle guide through each and every unknown.

In December 2023, I completed the End of Life Doula Training through INELDA, International End of Life Doula Association. In January 2024, I worked with John Fox in a workshop titled Poetic Medicine: The Healing Art of Poem-Making, where we focused on incorporating writing and poetry into the end of life experience. In April 2024, I became a hospice volunteer with Alive Hospice in Nashville, TN, the only nonprofit hospice in Middle Tennessee. You can learn more about these organizations in the links below.
Prior to becoming an End of Life Doula, I earned a degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University and worked as a Preschool Teacher in Brooklyn, NY for 10 years. I currently live in Nashville, TN with my husband and my cat.
